I was hoping to make some connections with other long draw compound bow hunters on here. I am 6'6" and need a bow with a 32.5" draw. Can anyone out there with similar size give me a couple of suggestions? I don't mind buying a used bow to get started with.

Thanks,

My shop recommended to me the Bowtech Specialist 2. Not your average “hunting” bow because it’s marketed as a target bow and it’s a 38” ATA but its going to be perfect for me for hunting and 3D. I was lucky and they had it with an OD Green riser with black limbs, so that’ll work for hunting colors.

Mathews Traverse
Bowtech BT-Mag X
Hoyt Double XL

Ive owned all 3. Currently shooting a traverse with a 32 inch draw. You can pick one up used and get mods to your draw length.

Thanks for all the help. I visited my local archery shop and shot a couple of bows. I settled on a Hoyt Axius Ultra 70# with the #3 cam. It is set at a 32" draw and seems to be very smooth. I also considered the BT-Mag X and the Double XL but the Axius was very nice to shoot.

Look for a Darton 4500,4800, or tempest. Darton makes a great bow with a low resale value so if you find a used one it shouldn't break the bank.
