I'm looking for a new rest to replace the Phantom fall away i have on my bow now. I'd like to get another drop away so I can continue shooting FOB's...but I'd prefer something micro adjust. I know NAP has the new micro adjust apache, but what else is out there?

I am kinda new here, so forgive me if I am out of place here.

But I am also looking at different fall-away rests, and I think the QUAD ULTRA REST HDX is pretty sweet. (Click on link).

The reviews are very favorable, and this is the one I currently have my eyes on.

he's asking about micro adjust. aae pro drop is gaining a following.

I think the Hamskea is the best of the field.

It has micro adjust plus it is built like a TANK. It also gives you three different setup options so it kind of meets every need.

The only one that appears to be micro in the online Trophy Taker lineup is the Spring Steel Pro and that didn't look like a dropaway to me.

As mentioned, the AAE Pro Drop, Spot Hogg Whammy and the VersaRest are micro adjust dropaways. The Pro Drop and the VersaRest are limb driven. The Whammy is cable driven. Many people feel limb driven dropaways avoid potential timing issues cable or slide driven dropaways have.

I read good reviews on the NAP Apache and decided to try one, I have used Limb Drivers since they came out , I put it on one of my bows and the micro adjust makes it SO much easier to get the rest perfect, very easy to set up and I emailed the company to ask about the warantee, and was told it had a lifetime warantee on it.

No wrenches needed, but is it actually micro adjust? Meaning there is a knob you turn to move the rest one way or the other. Or do you have to slide it like most other drop downs.

It's also one of the quietest rests I've ever used.

Best designed, best build archery rest...Schaffer Gen 2
The frame has two metal bearings ( like the main bearings in your engine ). They are rigidly supported by a very strong frame. The arrow prongs are totally adjustable. This rest can be setup as a drop style, a shoot through style or a lizard tongue. Totally micro adjustable...a thinking man's rest.

Hamskea Versa rest is not micro adjustable, but it is one of the first american rests with good mechanical quality so it is easy to adjust very precisely. I hope that one day arrow rests would have adjustments like Beiter Compound Rest or even Spot Hogg Infinity (that has quite poor mechanical quality otherwice). I would pay 500$ of the good micro adjustable drop away rest, that would be built to last. I haven't seen one.
Of cource one can deal with incomplete designs we have. But I wouldn't like to.

I haven't tried this one, but it has many good ideas in it, especially the frame that allows the axle to be supported by both ends (Versa rest has that too).
