Here is the best place but you'll need to stick around a while and make your required number of posts before you can buy something.
eBay would be my second place at looking and I've had good luck there.

The book of faces has numerous groups with bows for sale but beware of buying there. Especially if it's a public group. But even the private buy-sell-trade groups have scammers. The scammers have got so bad I've left most the groups. Be sure you investigate the seller if you see something you're interested in. And one more thing, if you join a group there and you advertise you're looking for a bow probably 9 out of 10 replies will be scammers. Especially if they say: message me.

while buying from a posted ad here is pretty safe (check their reputation rating), I'd warn against posting a want to buy ad... even here you will get 95% scam offers. Just browse what is available already and you'll be good (I bought my current bow here, as I'm sure many here have).

 

ArcheryTalk is the best marketplace I have found. You need a minimum number of posts before you can actively use the market place though. Read through the classified rules for some tips. Seller's and buys can build their reputation through a 5 star rating system. I Purchased my first target bow from AT and a bunch of accessories, all transactions went super smooth.

 

Gonna disagree….. there are several FaceBook target archery groups that have used bows “put up for discussion” very frequently. There are also dealers that sometimes move demo or NOS last years models at significant price reductions. Like anything else, it helps to be active and know a little bit about who you’re talking to and what you are looking at.

 

Love it! Sounds like to need to be on archerytalk more consistently and post more! Not a bad problem to have.

Here is a great place. I am a lefty and understand.... I need another Elite Verdict so I can have one setup for indoor and one for outdoor. I thought there was a Verdict and a Reckoning in the classifieds recently.

Some of the vendors on here also have deals on new ones that are significantly less than MSRP.

You can also check with your local archery shops and check with you local league. Put the word out to the other shooters. They might be able to find you a used bow in good shape. Then you can try it before you buy it probably.

Not trying to be a butthole but that's a quick way to get banned or at least reprimanded as you're not supposed to make deals outside of the classifieds.
That's why the rules are in place.

 

The Facebook group "target archery unlimited (items for discussion/trade)" is a good one to join. But I'd say that the ArcheryTalk classifieds are the best spot.

This is defs the best spot. I've had so many facebook groups post the EXACT same photos from different people in different countries, it's almost comical now 'oh yeah i saw that was available in Europe for $400, now its in the USA for $350 hahaha
