Which brand of sight do you all have the most success mounting in the new hoyts?
I've never shot a hoyt before, but liked the Alpha x 33 way more than the lift. I'm tall and the weight actually plays better for my long draw cycle I guess.

What do you shoot better single pin, horizontal or vertical pins, movable or fixed pins? Really depends on what ur doing hunting bow, 3d etc... yardage you expect to shoot. It matters so YOU don't end up with a box of sights in your closet or losing your azz in the resale game. Also something where you can change mounts in case you you go away from one bo style to another you won't have to buy again. Good luck

That's great to hear too, I'm a deer hunter, so I use the bow to practice shooting a few times a month through the year and then weekly/daily starting in the fall.

I have always used a fixed 3 pin sight, 20/30/40. But I like the idea of a slider for more visibility.

Also not opposed to the new Garmin but man that's a hell of an expense!

If you want to dabble in dovetail sights look at the Avalon Tec X. Cheap mount and sight options but great construction of the entire system. If you use the zoom sights remember to grab a clarifier (SOPOGER sells a cheap 30usd clarifier peep with lense and peep kit on Amazon).

Only issue with the Tec X is that it’s heavy-it’s made out of aluminum and feels like it weighs as much as the damn bow. Axcel’s thing is they use carbon fiber for the rod and the scopes are incredibly light. It really feels like it’s not there, also Axcel can’t shut up about their adjustable 3rd axis which is a nice gimmick but-not critical. The Tec X has everything you need to try out dovetail shooting w/zoom lenses and is the best value. Otherwise if youre willing to pay a bit but need to economize on weight Axcel’s sights are totally featherweights.

I just went from the fast eddie back to black gold mt. Light on my new rx7. I like the FE but like the MBG better for me. I like the sight tape on the inside and brighter pins for my older eyes. This is my first pic rail and love it. I only whitetail hunting from tree stand. Either one us great. The uv seems to be the most popular these days. No experience with it.
