I am looking for single deer call that produces multiple types of deer sounds ie buck, doe etc.
Putting to replace 3 calls with one for a light weight pack to hike in with on my climber. saved 5 lbs so far with lightweight items.

Extinguisher by Illusion Systems. I won't go in my stand without it. I bought one the first year they came out (maybe 10 years ago) and still use the same one. Called in many deer with it...does, bucks, fawns. Easy and fast slide adjustment to change the tone. Check them out.

Yup hands down the best multi-vocalization on the market. I have used others, grunt calls, cans, bleat calls. The Extinguisher does it all in one call. I snort wheeze with my own mouth.

The 2 people have talked about are here for a reaon. The flextone buck collector is a very nice deep sounding but yet realistic grunt call and you can get multiple sounds as it is a soft tube. I have had a TON of luck with this call and in fact called in one of the largest bucks I have seen in the woods with it.
I just started using the Extinguisher last year and that as well is realistic sounding. Not as loud or deep as the flextone but def more realsitic sounding. Less chance of spooking a buck away with this one.
Both offer multiple ranges of buck grunts, doe, and fawn bleats
I'd say try both of these if ya can and you will find the answer to the question.

I want to love the extinguisher, but the damn things stick (not freeze) all the time for me. I've purchased three of the buggers because I like it so much, but I ended up going to the tru talker and am much happier. The true talker doesn't stick the way the extinguisher does. The instructional video with the extinguisher is excellent though and you can view all of them on youtube.

I bought a refurbished FoxPro E-caller directly from FoxPro and they said I could have 50 free calls downloaded onto it. I asked for some deer calls, some turkey calls, and the rest in varmint calls. I got about 15 each in deer and turkey and another 70+ in varmint. I have used it in deer season using doe in estrous, fawn bleats, buck grunts, and varying degrees of success. But if I hit the fawn distress calls the does come flying in!

Once I called a 6 point out of a cornfield using the buck grunt. He was standing about 3' from the call looking around for the other deer and I turned the volume up all the way before I hit the call button. He about turned around inside his skin getting away, it was really funny.

Check your local game laws. Electronic calls for deer and turkey are illegal in here Michigan.

I don't call much, but when I do, I use the Extinguisher. For me it sounds the most realistic.

I use two calls, the older HS Tru Talker and a Mad Buck Hyper Grunt.... The Mad has a grunt that I can call soft with or loud, and the tone is what I want in a grunt, kinda like a click in it, it sounds realistic, and the Tru TAlker I use for Doe Bleats and some buck grunts... I killed my 190lb 139" 8 pt last season using them, and a 187 lb 8 pt 3 seasons ago using those two... Prior to that, I used the True Talker and the Primos Growl/Bawl, however, I could never get soft grunts out of the Primos, it was all or nothing with it, and it took a lot of air(effort), the Mad call, I really like as I dont have to blow as hard when I dont have to, same for the Older Tru Talker.... that "Extinguisher" call is advertised on TV and I dont like the sound of it.. Ive heard deer make about every sound/call they can, and that extinguisher dosnt have that "click" the MAd call does...so, I'm sticking with the older True Talker and the Mad ...

True talker and Mad growler for me...the original true taker is the best grunt call I've used and I've used too many to mention even custom Kobles etc...the growler only comes out when I see them at a good distance OR the wind is really kicking.

The true talker has played a role in 4 of 6 of the 9 mounts I have...really drives them nuts.

Extinguisher. I also use the inside part of the primos "can". It had gotten rained on an didn't work, so I cut it apart to see how it works, took the rubber thing off and just used the hard part and used just it. Works better and sounds better and no accidentally having it rollover an go off.

I have seen a utube on the Hooks Custom Calls "Messenger" grunt call. Sounded very realistic to me. Anybody have any first hand opinion on the calls effectiveness?

So I tried out the Primos "The Original CAN" Deer Call this past weekend. It sounds pretty authentic. Only issue I had was that it really isnt very loud. Its barely audible at 40 yards and if the wind is blowing, forget it.

What do you guys think about the volume of these calls and their effectiveness? On the one hand, Im thinking a doe doesnt exactly use a megaphone. On the other hand, if you're trying to attract buck in a larger radius (say 100 yards in each direction around you), you need a much louder call.

What do you guys think?
