I own a shop and i'm interested in making my own strings for customers. What is the best string jig out there? Also would like to be able to pre stretch them.

A Little Jon string jig is hard to beat for general use. You can perform your layout's, pre-stretch the bundle, twist and serve. Serving would either be accomplished by hand or some other means such as his winder or a seperate unit.

Depends on how many you plan to make. the little john is a great jig, but if you plan on doing a fair amount then take a look at the new apple jig.

I agree there. Best way to go starting out, then if your looking to get more serious there are options

If it were not tensioned by air i would have one or two by now! No way to use that thing while the lids are sleeping. Too noisy! Awesome though.

For personal use and a few strings for friends, the Little John can't be beat.

For production, the Specialty Archery jig seems to be the new kid on the block that's blowing away everyone else. It's price is low enough even for a beginning production shop.
