I can imagine this has been beat to death (another best BH Thread) but I'm really interested in trying some out this "off season". Reason's for picks?
Cost of head and replacement (if available)?.

Thanks much!

Three top two blade broadheads:

1) Silver Flame - flawless, but very expensive http://www.germankineticsusa.com/broadheads.html
2) Hunor Sliver - just like Silver Flame, but inexpensive - same price as Rage 2 blade http://www.hunorarchery.com/
3) Magnus Stinger/Buzzcut - good inexpensive broadhead, but not nearly as strong as 1 and 2, but they have a guarantee. http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com/magnus-broadheads-stinger-grain-blade-mass100-p-611.html

and the Eastman are the least expensive good broadhead at just under $20 for three:

4) Eastman Firstcut http://www.bowhunterssuperstore.com/eastman-outfitters-firstcut-100gr-broadhead-blade-p-9192.html

The Silver Flame and Hunor Sliver both have steel ferules and stainless steel blades. The Eastman has an aluminum ferule and stainless blade.

I really like the two blade stingers by magnus.. I use them with my Widow. Plus Magnus stands behind their heads, you break, bend, chip, you send it back and get it replaced...

I have to agree with this, except that many just can't afford to shoot them. The Magnus Stinger and Buzzcut absolutely can not be beat. They spin perfect, are tough, scary sharp, and fly like lazers. And the customer service and warranty simply can not be beat. I simply can not find a negative about these heads. JMO.

i would say the strongest/ best would be silverflame just cause there are really thick.

magnus buzzcuts are my personal favorite. sharp as heck, fly perfect, penetrate like crazy and zip through game fast. plus the best warrentee and cs out there

plus you can get 3 for under $30

Best? .... you did say best...right?.

There are a few that can stand up to that title but not many when you start going down in head weight....below 150gr. anyway.

Best for 100 & 125gr would have to be Silver Flame on the whole

Eastman First cut for best of the cheapest.

I have never used one, but I will go with the Silver Flame. I want to try them one day, but I need to win the Power Ball first.

I'll agree with most of your post, but The Silver Flames and Hunors don't have steel ferules. Some kind of alluminum alloy. Also the Hunors (what I'm using now), aren't exacly like a Silver Flame. They're shorter and not as sharp out of the package.

Don't laugh but I still like the old 2 blade Magnus, at least I can get them razor sharp. I have trouble getting the Buzzcut sharp as I want and can't seem to ever get the SS Snuffer very sharp at all. If anyone has any tricks, I'm all ears.

Right! I actually typed that about the sharpness in my first post, but delete it after deciding it isn't really a negative of the Sliver that it is not as sharp as the Silver Flame out of the package. The Hunor Sliver are adequately sharp out of the package, whereas the Sliver Flame are exceptionally sharp out of the package.

In my opinion, neither needs to be sharpened any more than they are from the factory.

I would still favor the Silver Flame or the Hunor Sliver over the Maguns if you want a very tough head. They are both made from thick stainless steel and are extremely strong. I've seen the Magnus curl up on hogs. Sure they are gunaranteed, but I want them to work well every time - even when I hit bone. Deer are not the toughest animals we hunt - unless you start talking bigger bucks. Does are pretty much big bunny rabbits.

It isn't often we get these shots and I don't want to miss a prize animal due to any equipment failure.
