Not sure if this was covered already. I just got my new parker thunderhawk with the 4 bolts. I also ordered a kit off ebay with an additional 6 bolts plus sling, cocker and wax and lube. Well the6 bolts included in the kit are not the same length. They were made by carbon express. Well I called parker and he said they are the old bolts. Th new bolts are not made by carbon express. They are almosr 1/2 difference. I found a noticable performane difference also. Be aware and make sure you match your bolts. I will trade anyone who wants these for the newer ones.

Yep the newer ones are made by gold tip, laser 11 and aren't worth two shakes of a dogs tail unless you are shooting a low poundage recurve and thats the ONLY thing I've been able to shoot them out of. Parker trying to cut corners and the shooters pay the price. Fortunately...since you have to use their capture nocks to maintain your warranty...you can get some BE arrows and their capture nock should work since both arrows are the same ID

That's a shame they switched to laser II's. The parker hunter carbon express flew great out of my tornado.

Gold Tip ... is a pox on the crossbow industry.

Hmm...

When did Parker switch arrows? The reason I ask is that I just checked the four that came with my Blackhawk I picked up not to long ago and they are made by Carbon Express. I also picked up a pack of Carbon Express Surges and the only diff I can see is Fletching length (Surge fletch is a little longer than the ones that came with the bow).

Also, are you looking to trade the 6 Carbon Express arrows that came with the kit or the 4 (gold tip?) that came with the bow?

B.E. Executioners and Q knocks, KILLERin my Gale Force look to be as good as Red Hots with capture knock's, and from Jerry less money and built however you want them. The Q knocks are even more safe as you get an obvious snap when you push them onto the string making a more secure attachment to your serving, which I really like. No experience with the G.T.'s but the standard arrows used to be Carbon Express as well, just a cheaper version, than the premium Carbon Express offering from Parker the Red Hot. The standard arrow was junk and never had much use for them as the Red Hot shot exceptionally well. I would like to point out, that the captur knock is a Parker exclusive, and the new fireknock's which not only capture the serving but also clip to the string are actually an IMPROVEDcapture knock, I have gotten great results with them in not only my Gale Force but quite the same results in the Cyclone!! If there ever was a need for Parker Customer Service,,,,which is highly unlikely, I wouldn't mention their use just for your own protection, they are quite safe and secure!!! There is a knock for most shaft's the B.E.'s use the Q knock for the proper serving size and shaft I.D.
