I stopped by give my taxidermist some arrows and had a quick look at the old 7 I killed last year.

Will have to be a pedestal or wall mount. Good observation because it wasn't planned like that initially.Very cool and I like the pose.
I gotta say though, it looks like the rack goes past the back of the mount. Is this going to be a pedestal? Otherwise, how will you hang it? Or are the pictures fooling me?

Lol! I personally guessed him @ 4 or 5 when I saw him on the trail walking to me and the DNR official said 4 or 5. We used the lower jaw but not the front teeth ( guess that's where I screwed up lol).Awesome deer. But as stated before there are only two ways to age a deer Scientific internet guesses and have one on the front teeth from the lower jaw aged by a biologist.
Thanks! I'd have never considered it either but with a weak side it made sense.you know normally i would never pick that pose, but for that deer it fits great!
