i was looking through the 3-d archery board and there was this one post about binos. are binos binauculars? and what is its purpose in ar chery?

Yes, the term binos is short for binoculars. Purpose? For hunting, it gives you a much better view of the area around your stand or ground blind. Seeing how deer have a nasty habit of blending in really well with their surroundings, it's nice to be able to take a closer look at something without having to leave your position. Seeing the deer before it sees you is a great advantage. The also come in handy during 3D season for finding the 12 ring . Personally, I don't go hunting or scouting without mine.
