I dont specifically know a cheap vendor but use a known US vendor so you can at least get the 1yr warranty also maybe. Usually a little higher but they can even weight check, etc. Lancaster has the galaxy ember version, twig archery is one well known us vendor for the black hunter version though.

I had the Galaxy Ember from lancaster as well. For a 60 inch bow, I shot that thing as well as any bow I've owned. I do however like my 64 inch setup from Southwest Archery better. Bought their Ghost riser with their Spyder XL limbs. Im loving this very inexpensive, simple setup. I would recommend it over the Black Hunter type bows. Great customer service as well.

I have a Black Hunter #60 recurve - hands down the best bang for buck bow IMO - I have other recurves by the BH is as good if not better than the others. All the very positive talk about this bow is a good indicator. Also, check out the BH torture-test on YouTube - I know of no other bows or bow manufacturers who would dare put their bows through that. Buy it with confidence.

Make sure you buy your Black hunter from a reputable name if you ever plan to change draw weight. I bought one on eBay for $86 and received a model that have a different kind of limbs from the well known ones, so now I'm stuck with that draw weight.

I had this bow, sold it. Even with a 27 inch draw, I can't for the life of me shoot anything shorter than 62.
I draw 28" on the nocker - I've got news for you - its NOT the bow. My mate has the same bow and even with his short t- rex arms - he shoots very well.

I’ve got a buddy who couldn’t hit a fat pig in the ass with a shovel, and he bought a black Hunter a month before season started and he’s already killed 2 deer with it. For the money, it is no frills but it shoots well and is an excellent hunting option.

If you want the best of both worlds look at Lancaster Archery Galaxy Ember. Same bow as Black hunter, but you will get US support as well as some type of QA for the Limbs. Seems like a crapshoot what limbs you will receive other places...Bit more expensive, but worth it for me ($199).

I just received a Galaxy Ember from Lancaster Archery. Great bow. I had to downsize in draw weight. My 55lb DH Hunter was wearing out my joints - especially my release fingers. I purchased a 45lb draw weight Ember from LA at $199.00 including shipping.
I swear it shoots as fast if not faster, perhaps due to taking a fast flight string and bamboo core limbs. I also may be drawing further, perhaps another half inch, 27.5", because I'm not so compressed.
I was worried my Easton 30.5" long 2018s with 125 grain field point weighing a total of 525 grains wouldn't shoot well. They are quite stiff and I must come to full draw with the DH or they fly funny. They fly fine out of the Ember. All arrows enter the target at the same angle regardless of distance.
The bonus is losing 10lbs in draw weight makes traditional archery fun again. I'm easily twice as accurate with the Ember as I can aim longer and I'm steadier.
The Ember riser is a bit rough in the hand which I imagine some folks like. I sanded lightly with 600 grit and got it where I wanted it. There we a couple of other minor flaws. The upper knock point string exit was a bit asymmetrical - easy to fix. There were a couple tiny epoxy bumps on the riser which sanding took care of, otherwise flawless. A horizontal and vertical shelf pad were not included which I found surprising. No prob as I had some stick-on velcro.
I believe the limbs themselves are as long if not longer the DH even though the DH is 62" AMO and the Ember is 60" AMO. This is due to the massive and long DH riser compared to the Ember riser.
They weigh about the same, ~ 2.2 lbs.
The Ember makes less noise on release than the DH even though I'm a 1/4" less than the min recommended brace height of 7.5". I have rubber strips up near the limb knocks on both bows.
The Ember did come with some beaver fur string silencers which I haven't put on. The string is a fast flight Flemish twist type.

I've been intrigued by this bow myself-except the Longbow version. Something for an inexpensive hunting/stumping bow. I see them on Amazon for much less than other places.
Is it a gamble buying from Amazon or should a person go straight to Twig Archery or Lancaster (Galaxy Ember?)
Thanks for the response folks!

All made in the same factory in China but the ones that Lancaster and Twig sell are the higher quality products. The “seconds” and there are a lot of them, go off to Amazon to be sold at half price. Some of the ones sold on Amazon are even 59” instead of the standard 60”

Junxing is the chinese brand if I recall correctly.
