I stoped useing blazers this last weekend and went back to vane tecs. At 60 yards I could get the vane tecs to group better. I made the choice after two weeks of shooting both side by side.

I switched from the Blazers / Mini-Blazers to the Vane Tec Super Spines. I think the consistency of the Vane Tecs is much better. I had arrows fletched with the Blazers and you could see some vanes leaning one way and others leaning the other way. Maybe it does not affect flight / performance, but it is in the back of my mind that it would. I have not seen that kind of leaning or anything like that with the Vane Tecs.

For the smaller diameter shafts such as the 0.246 shafts, A/C/C or Axis, you could use either the FITA vanes or the 1.8". For shafts like the Gold Tip Series 22 and larger, you may want to consider the 2.3". I am going to use 3" for my indoor shafts - Gold Tip 30X. I use the 3" on my Gold Tip XT Hunters and have not had any problems with broadhead flight.

I have some fletched with blazers and some with vanetec they both group well with field tips. I would give the edge ever so slightly to the vanetecs With broadheads (slicktricks) the vanetecs were horrible. While the blazers flew great just my $.02
