Sorry if this has been beat to death before but....I'm having slight clearance issues with my blazers and thinking of switching to vanetecs but have never used them. Those of you that have used them with fixed blade broadheads let me know what you think about them. Also, how do they hold up? That's what I love about blazers is how tough they are but...even though similar in design please tell me the vantecs are tougher than the duravanes! Thanks!

Vanetecs are as tough if not tougher then blazers. They are very beefed up compared to most vanes. I shot them when I was using a whisker biscuit and they held awesomely. I was using 4 or 5 inch vanetecs, not sure now, that was last year, and they do as well as any other vane with broadheads. Pretty nice, and very tough vanes. I liked mine, but now like most, I shot blazers. Vanetecs would be my #2 choice.

VaneTec

I switched from Blazer to VaneTec and haven't looked back. They both are very tough vanes, I would not hesitate to use either. The 4" VaneTec weighs 10.5 grains ands the Blazer 5-6 grain per vane. The VaneTec seems to fly all of my Broad heads (Razor Caps,Slick Tricks,Magnus Stinger) as well as the Blazers did.

I still use Blazers, but I tend to lean toward the VaneTecs. They are a great vane. I actually use both those and feathers, but you won't be sorry using VaneTec. They are probably the toughest vane out there, on par or better than Blazers and Flex Fletch, but far cheaper than FF.

I shoot Vanetechs. I bought some blazers and they flew well with broadheads almost as well as Vanetechs. Nearly the same impact at 30 yrds. I was leaning toward using blazers but I had a buddy of mine shoot my bow with a mix of arrows with vanetechs and blazers. I was on the ground and flanking the target with my head down so i could not see which one is which. I know Im going to catch flack for this but I am telling you the Vanetechs were noticably quietier! They were fletched with the same amount of offset. I cant account for the difference but they were quieter. I decided to stay with the Vanetechs. And they are VERY durable. Happy Hunting.
