So I just got some of the Bohning x vanes in 3” and I am blown away at how awesome they are.

I was shooting blazers for the longest time and the x vanes are A LOT quieter and of course just as accurate. I didn’t loose any point of impact so I’m guessing the arrow speed is about the same. I’m using the same sight tape but it is noticeably quieter than any vane Iv used before. Iv used the TAC driver, AAE Max, blazer 2”, and fusion 2.1...

These things have a killer look and work great. Here is a pic

I use the vinyl sheets from Walmart as wraps.. saves a ton of money when I can get about 25-30 4” wraps for about $4.. found in the crafts/cricut section in Walmart or Michaels.

I've used the Bohning X vane 3" parabolic for my daughter's arrows. Thought about using them for my hunting arrows, set helical, but I've the Bohning 4" Killiers.

I also use the Bohning X vane in 1 3/4" and 2 1/4" Shield cut - love them.

My daughter got her first Robin Hood using the 3" X vane. Later she got her first podium finish, 3rd place.

I've got one arrow fletch helical with the 4" Impulse. Awesome set helical. Only 5 grs, but tough. Put it through 2 layers of plastic canvas and a good 1/3 way through a truck bed liner. Ripped off the front, about 1/8" of the vane, but the base stayed. Used it like you see it the last ASA Qualifier I shot. It did great.

I just fletched a dozen Black Eagle PS23's for 3D works and indoor league. Up until now I've used nothing but AAE but decided to try the X vanes in 2.25" for these. I shoot a 4 fletch with slight right hand helical. I'm really happy so far with the adhesion and accuracy and plan to use more of these going forward. I've had the usual adhesion problems with AAE's using both their wipes, primer pen, and glue and then moved on to acetone for the vanes and shaft with Gorilla Green superglue. The acetone / superglue cured the problem with the AAE's and works great with the X vanes as well.

I fletched 4 arrows to 3" X3 vanes to play around with and love them. I think they are a little lighter than the X , but with a more ridigid material than blazers. They are super quiet and fly fantastic.
