I have one of the mad bomber hats and it's pretty good quality (it's lasted for about 12 years so far. But for me it just makes my head sweat so badly I can't even wear it for more than 20 minutes, no matter how much I like it.

 

Mad Bomber is probably the best brand for the money. They are made of real rabbit fur and are really warm for those below freezing days. I love mine and no it has never gotten in the way when bow hunting. They're on sale at Cabelas for $40. Same here. Works well usually into late-October stand sits. I like it so much I wear it for everyday wear.

 

Another vote for Stormy Kromer caps. Even when wet, they are warm.

As far as the Bomber caps go, I have never had them be a bother with drawing a bow, as long as the flaps are secured.

 

I love my Stormy Kromer, and it is a nice warm ball cap. However, the ear "flap" is a joke and if it is bitter cold I go with a beanie that covers my ears. The Mad Bomber brand seems to get sold at Marshalls for pretty cheap every fall/winter, and seems like a solid hat.
