Im hunting in florida. 1st contest. 1st year hunting modern stuff. Past 13 years I huted primitive including flint and home made steele points. This year Im using both bows 1- buckmaster g2sl and #2 a 50# selfbow.

I also hunt Fl but hang a stand every year in Georgia and Tennessee.
If anyone thinks of a team name post it so we can vote on it. Hopefully everyone will see this thread........

I'll be here to put up what I can with an Illinois deer. Last year was able to put 186 (136 buck, 50 doe) points up for my team but have high hopes for more points this year.

I will have to get back to you on names...give me some time to think it over. Just a little back ground info about me: My name is Travis Simpson. From Western KY, but moved to Louisville 2 months ago after getting married and starting a new job. (I am a nurse at a hospital here). I shoot a 2005 Hoyt V-Tec throwing Bemans topped with 2 blade Magnus broadheads. This will be my second year bowhunting. Last year was my learning year and I learned alot. I am looking forward to getting back out there come September 1st.

Hello team. My name is Jason and I will be down here in Oklahoma chasing the bucks.
I've been bowhunting for the last 8 years finally got some deer on the ground last year. Two bucks!

I'm here so have no fear! I hunt both Arkansas and Missouri. I have checked a doe the last two years. Killed a nice 8 last year, but it was with the muzzle loader. I am READY to go!!!.

I will think of some more as I think it over.

Hey Everyone,
I'm Chuck, I'll be in Va. all over it actually. Live in the mountains now,but hunt in the south central area too.I'll do my best to help out!!

So far, I really like "The Boneheads". Team 16 = "Sweet 16, pointer that is!"

A quick run down on myself. I hunt with shotgun and bow. I took my first deer in 1989 by shotgun. Did not hunt again until 1995 (1990 fresh out of high school, was chasing other white tail). Started bow hunting in 1997. Was taking deer every year I hunted by gun or bow or sometimes both but hit it big in 1998 with shotgun on a 160 6/8 net typical 10 pointer. That moved my love of deer hunting to an obsession of big bucks. Since 1998, I have put 7 deer on my wall including the 10 pointer (well 4 on the wall and 3 at taxidermist, 4 by bow and 3 by gun). The smallest scoring 127 7/8 net. Totals to date are 42 deer harvested, 22 by shotgun and 20 by bow.
I have very high hopes for this year, extremely big 8 pointer last year eluded me, seen him quite a few times from far away and he was trail camera shy. Hoping to cross paths with him this year and anxious to see if he gained any points or anything.

So that's me. Going to do what I can to put up a good score this year.

I agree with whitetail on "Boneheads".

I am a local PGA Professional at a golf club I have managed for 9 years. I have a true love for hunting and have been deer hunting since the early 90's when it was first made legal in my part of the county. Hunting here is fair, with a good population, but not many good bucks. I work 6 days a week and hunt my day off and usually 2 to 3 evenings each week. My season starts Sept. 11 and runs through late Dec. except for 1 week of Muzzlerloader in Oct. when you cannot bow hunt . I'm pumped and ready for the season, been shooting every chance I get and have my stands up and ready.:wink:
