Looking for recommendations for a boot dryer that will dry soaking wet leather steel toe work boots. My son works outside and has to wear this type of a boot, but when it rains, he can never get them dry for work the next day.

I have been trying to read reviews on various models but it is hard to tell of the ones who say a particular unit works if their boots are as wet as these and if they will actually dry overnight.

For those who use these, do you recommend one with a fan, or will a radiant only unit work?

Peet boot dryer ... I highly recommend it. It will air dry rubber hunting boots in 4 hours using the fan setting only. I use it to dry my sneakers after throwing them in the washer too.

The model I have has a heat feature but I have only used it to dry gloves and hats, never shoes. The heat may make rubber dry out and crack and make leather or cloth-type shoes shrink.

I agree on the Peet. I have a radiant only type, and it works well. In all seriousness, if the wet boot thing is an issue, and it's work boots, buy a second pair and you have no issues. I have 3 pair for work because I need safety toe shoes for work. I keep 2 pair there, and 1 at home for in case, and I also rotate them. It helps keep fatigue out of my feet and knees.

Don't waist your money, you already have what you need. Put your shop vac on blow, insert it into your boot and turn it on. your boot will be dry in 15 minutes. try it out while ur waiting for your Peets drier to show up-you can send it back in its original packaging.

I actually use them on rubber boots so maybe drying times would vary. But it always surprises my how quick they dry, the volume of air is way different than what they would get in a clothes drier. I'm not disputing the value of buying two pairs of shoes anytime you get foot ware and rotating them out-a good practice even for people that don't get there feet wet. And why not a boot drier also. The reality is most folks don't want to pay for all that when it comes right down to it, that's why I offered a lower cost solution. Sometimes I forget how cranked up you AT'er get. I still suggest you try it out.

Two pairs of boots, one Peet boot dryer. The radiant kind, not the one with a fan.

When you get home from work, take the pair off the dryer, and replace with the pair you've been wearing all day.
In the morning, put on the pair that were dried the previous day, and have been off the dryer all night.

If you wear boots right off the dryer, they will be too warm and your feet will sweat a whole lot. That makes your boots damp all day.

I have 3 radiant type boot dryers from rural king. 20 bucks a piece. Use them everyday all year round. Footwear doesn’t stink. My feet sweat all the time even barefoot. My shoes used to smell like the walking dead! Not anymore. Shoes dry out overnight. Doesn’t shrink or crack the leather. The only peer I could see buying is the propane version if hunting away from electricity.

Peet radiant drier for me too. I wear boots every day. Worked outside for 10 years in the weather. Boots on at night off in the morning onto my feet. Especially in the winter. You get that steel toe warm it stays warm for a while. Also kills odders. My mucks go on em now the night before a hunt so they are warm, dry and stink free.

I got a peet dryer from Amazon. $40. I go fishing in my work boots. I'm standing In the water while fishing. Sometimes waist deep. When I get back I put my boots on the dryer and the next morning they are ready for work again. It helps if in the winter you do it in your basement and not a garage that isn't insulated.

Best Winter Boots

ightweight and very comfortable. My daughter, the original tom-boy, played hard in them all winter and they still look new. She says they're very cushiony and have great traction too. They also kept her feet very dry and warm.

She's still wearing these, and probably will be until she outgrows them! Tread stayed fastened to material, no rips or snags. Still keeping her feet warm and dry and comfy. Frankly, they STILL look new!

I might add that she's got super high arches and we keep inserts in her shoes for support, but don't need any in these little boots.

Do yourself a favor and get a pair. You won't be disappointed. Shop Now https://hobibear.com/collections/kids-snow-boots
