It's a Stan 4 finger Swept. I believed I was buying a back tension release and can't figure out what to do with it . I thought there was a thing on the back yhat you would click than pull till it goes off. But this thing I don't know what to do with it. Can't figure how to get it to pull back. Does any body out there know. JM

J.M.,

Here's the directions from my backtension release. It should work the same as your Stan.

1) Rotate head toward pinky.

2) Set hook by pushing it toward handle. (Push the hook towards
your index finger)

3)Keep pinky portion of handle rotated forward.

4) Wrap rope around bowstring or Place hook on d-loop.

5) Draw bow keeping pinky portion of handle rotated forward.

6) When drawn use backtension to activate release.

Simple, right?

To practice without punching yourself in the face. Take a piece of string and make 2 loops one at either end,. The string should be about your draw length. one loop will go over your "bow thumb", and the other you place on the hook of the release. Keep tension on the hook, so the sear is against the half moon, then slowly rotate your pinky back and the sear will slip off the half moon firing the release.

It sounds complicated, but it's real easy to do.

Hope that helped. Feel free to PM me with any questions.
