? Bow Arm getting tired and draw length ?

963 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Dave V
My bow arm gets tired quickly when I shoot. I do use a straight bow arm ( but not over extended) and sometimes it wants to colapse. I was thinking my draw length may be on the short side of things. When I draw and get my anchor point set I have to push my bow arm out because it wants to colapse on me then this causes allot of tension when I get my bow arm extended and I start to get tired. What do you think ?

Yeah, it sounds like it is a bit short, I would make it a bit longer, or you could try to make your release and D Loop a bit longer if it is that close.
or u could always lower your draw waight

I would think "pushing" your arm out is a sign that the draw length might be set too long and you're hyperextending your arm to try and compensate.
