Hey all....
New here and new to bow hunting.....

Was just wondering were you all hunt.

I was told of an area in Lakeville that is strictly bow hunting only. Was wondering if anyone has hunted it.

I'm from Carver Mass and have a few sites lined up that look promising but was wondering what others have.

welcome. look's like hes between fall river and plymouth not sure how the hunting is out that way but it should be better then western ma. i find its easier to shoot a deer out of state then out this way.

pt I have no idea on a bowhunting only area in Lakeville.
I'm not that far from you however. We have a good deer herd here in eastern Ma and don't take it for granted, it was not always that way. Carver is cranberry bog territory. If you get out there and shake a few hands you'll likely get permission to hunt some good ground. You don't have to leave town to be in a good spot. The Carver sportsman club is something you should look into. Great bunch from what I've heard.

I lived in Lakeville a few years back. Nice place, lots of woods, lots of deer, lots of hunters. Never hunted that area but have a number of friends who have around there and they have been pretty successful. Good luck.

Your best bet is to head down to CT, much better deer population. Hunting mass is tough, it makes you a better hunter because you have to scout less sign, and find the small details in deer activity to get on deer. Put your time in the woods and figure the deer out in your area. Remeber to always hunt with the wind in your face and be patient. Practice with your bow, so when you get a chance at a deer you will make it count. Spend time in the woods, and the rest will fall in to place

yodiesel I missed the post where you said you hunted in Sturbridge. I know a few spots in my area around Quabbin where you can try a few hunts. Let me know. I always put in for zone 8 for a doe permit. You have a better chance there than in the zone I live in zone 6. Plus I own some land in New Braintree which is zone 8 also. So that works out great for me, that is if I can get out to hunt.
