Struggling with finding a site light for my Spot Hogg Fast Eddie NE. Any suggestions?

Viper rechargeable is very well made and supposedly made for them by a well known flashlight maker.

However, if you're using this to hunt, none of them do what you want as is.

They are all so bright, even on low, that they blind you to seeing what is behind it. Try it out at home. You go from "I can't see the pin" to "Wow, the pin is so bright I can't see anything behind it".

The trick is to put material between the light and fiber optics so that it is just bright enough that you can see the pin.

edit: I've found that a few pieces of masking tape work pretty well to dim the light (they go inside somewhere between the light and the fiber, where depends upon the setup). Some folks here use string wax, but I didn't like that idea because it could melt due to ambient heat or maybe if the light gets it hot.

That one actually looks pretty solid. I like that it is a push button for turning on and off and rechargeable.

My Viper light arrived today, have to use an adapter which it comes with, for my spot hogg fast eddie.

Went into the darkest room of the house and tested it, and on low it is not over powering in pitch black.

Will see how long it holds up. Seems like the adapters are nicely machined and the light seems well enough built.

I have an E-tac. It is not cheap, but it is definitely worth it. Rechargeable, automatic sleep mode timer that is adjustable, multiple brightness settings from almost off to way brighter than you would ever need.

My only complaint for using it for hunting is that I am not sure there is a way to turn off or dim the backlight on the display (it lights up when it comes out of sleep mode).

+1 for the Viper light. I've had mine for a few years now. Works great on my Axcel sight. It has 3 brightness levels, to my eye's the low setting is pretty low, I usually use the medium setting. I hunt at dusk and dawn. And from climbers and ground blinds. Highly recommend the Viper light.
