I got a 07 martin bengal a buddy of mine wanted see if he could pull it back, which he did, but when he tried to but the string back it snapped off the cams and is now loose string. He didn't dry fire and string isn't snapped it just came off the cams. Is bow damaged? What you think happened?

Shouldn't be hurt.

I have never seen a bow string come off of the cam for no reason.

If shallow cam tracks are something the manufactures are doing for another fps they need to stop that.

I've seen strings come off the cams if the bow is torqued to one side or the other during let down, (usually short axle-to-axle bows). Generally, as long as it wasn't drawn afterwards with the string off the string groove it should be ok. Take it to your local pro shop for reassembly. They should check the string for any damage and the limbs for cracks if they twisted in any way because of the string coming off.
