Ordered a halon and also ordered a hamskea hybrid hunter micro rest for it. Want to do more work on my bow myself and get this bow tuned as good as possible. What is everyones steps to tuning a bow to its full potential? Thinking of building a pvc paper tuning stand this week however I want to tune better than just that

Here's my process.

Get the bow drawing the correct DL for me and the draw weight I want. Set the rest and nock point to where experience tells me it's a good starting point. Shoot bareshafts at 10 yards with fletched and see how they react. If it's noticeably off, make the appropriate tuning changes. Once the 10 yard bareshaft is good, step it back to 20 and beyond.

Don't bother with paper. It's wasted time when a bareshaft can tell you everything paper will but it will do it faster and more accurately.
