I just got split limb brackets for my bowmaster press but now I can't get the cables adjusted tight enough to press my Edge, sigh...

Anybody know if I can add another 'stop' on the cable or if I just need to buy a newer model with a shorter cable?

Some time ago I read a thread with the same issue. The author contacted the Bowmaster manufacturer and they sent them a new cable for shorter bows. I got the impression it was free, but maybe there was a nominal fee. Definately didn't need to buy a full (new) press. I would suggest contacting them. Good luck.

I had to get a new shorter cable for my Outback. I think I paid about $12.00 including shipping, got a new cable and new mounting hardware (wheels, pins, leather pieces, etc.).
