I could be wrong, but I thought I heard they are making them in house. Trying to cut costs or something like that.

In house

All the strings are being made at the factory. I was there in may and they have an eloborate system that power stretches the strings and cables twice then they are served under 100lbs of pressure... they keep strings and cables together for the entire process so they come as a set from the same spool of 452x...... havent had a problem with them on any bows I sold so far... they stretch in for the first twenty shots then no peep rotation after that....they got my vote cheaper than winners choice too...

havnt replaced my strings on my OG and after 100 shots no peep rotation whatsoever. Sure is nice to get QUALITY strings on a bow from the factory (mathews, hoyt excluded)

I bought a constitution last month I put the string on after about 40 shots. After a weekend of shooting I did have to move it but my peep has not changed an more. And yes they do make their own strings.

You're right on one point. The strings are made at the BowTech factory. The "something like that" has to do with having complete control over quality and delivery. You don't have to rely on someone else to provide your strings. Possibly late, and not of the quality desired. BTW, you won't find better factory provided strings. :)

i was at the factory last year and they were finishing a very interesting looking string stretching rig that the rep said i probably should not even have been able to see.there factory strings seem to be awesome,my cousin just got an allegiance that i have been helping him tune and the peep has been rock solid and the cams have not budged either.

Some very excellent ones, that's what!

Made in house from 452X. Best stock strings I have ever gotten on a new bow.

Exactly!!! I have been shooting my 06 Constitution since January and my peep hasn't moved a bit, no fuzzing either. They are the best factory strings I have ever had on any bow.

BowTech -

Strings are now made in-house and pre-streched 452, as with Winners Choice...The one on my Allegiance held up very well and now with the new Tribute it's looking good also!

They are the best stock strings I have ever seen. Shot a set on a Pat dually for 2 years. Then purchased a custom set (I won't mention a brand) shot them less that a year and need my old string for back up. The string wasn't abused or cut either. I really think the quality of everything Bowtech has just keeps going up:)

I have had a bunch of different strings. Parker, Pse, Vapor trail, Pro strings, Twisted Archer, Winners choice, Bowtech
I would put the winners choice first and bowtech second
Only reason I would put them first is there servings look nicer however function, they are even as far as I am concerned and both last longer than the time frame I change them anyway

maybe its just me

as far as peep rotation goes the string is rock solid. only problem i have had with the factory string is the center serving. i had to have it replace after about 1,000 shots it just plaine wore thur and broke for some reason. and i am shooting a d-loop so my release has never touched the serving.

You would be right if Ross and Eilte didn't use Winner's Choice string and cables stock.
Oh, I bet you couldn't tell the difference. I can't, between the present strings and the WC strings BowTech used in the past.

Really. :) If I were you, I would tuck that wallet a little deeper into your back pocket and take a good hard look at a set of WC strings and cables, especially the serving and end loops. If there wasn't a difference, do you really think anyone would bother paying so much more for their strings and cables?

Sure. Some people will pay the most because they think it equates to the best. On other bows, the WC strings are an upgrade. Not so on the BowTechs. That's one of the beauties of BowTech. I can leave my wallet deep in my pocket until I want to get it back out. I don't need to replace my strings until I wear them out. Not because they drive me crazy.
