I have a 2005 Bowtech Tomkat. I like binary cam systems for the increased speed.

I can see the risor changed in one year. However, can anyone tell me if a set of cams can be purchased to install in an 05 single cam to change it to a binary? I understand a proshop would do the work. I realized that I'll probably need a new string too.

no i wanted to put 06 on my 05 OG bowtech said it would'nt work
i myself cant see why not but it's not worth $$ for new cams to find out.

it was posted previously by a few bowtech guys in another forum. The limbs on the older bows (that didn't come with binaries to begin with) weren't built up enough to withstand the energy of the binary cams. Only limbs that were designed for binaries are safe to use with them.
