I’m needing to adjust my draw length and I know I need to get the modules but my main question is do I need a bow press to swap them out? Thanks.

I found some on eBay. I’m trying to set this bow up for my wife and I’m looking at buying either a new bear legit or bear legend xr not sure yet which I’ll go with but I shot both today and they have definitely ruined shooting this tribute for me now. My tribute has nearly no let off cause I have such a long draw length and I’m not to confident to adjust the peg cause I’m worried about locking the cams up.

I have a 2006 Allegiance new to me last summer 2022. I spent many hours on this website learning about timing and draw post setting. My bow draw stop was not set correctly either. The Bowtech owner’s manual recommends loosening the stop and drawing the bow to your draw length with assistance watching the control cables. The limb will slide the stop to correct position when the valley and control cable nearly touches the back of peg. Use credit card to check clearance. Manual says you can make slight adjustments that valley, let off, and draw length with post setting, but not to exceed 1/2 mark from charts. I’m not sure you can lock up the 2006 model without severely overdrawing the bow. The 2005 models could be locked if stop not in correct position as the cam could over rotate. I’m still amateur at this, recommend seeking more knowledgeable advice. If you search for “bowtech locked up” from around 2005-2006 you will find much good information. If i find it in my files I’ll send it to you here.

Here is link I saved discussing these issues. I think you can search for Dave Nowlin threads for more
