All,

I have a PSE Nighthawk recurve, 62 inch, 20 pound limbs.

The PSE recommended brace height is 7 1/4-71/2 inches.

I loosened the factory supplied string so it has minimal twists.
The lowest brace I can achieve is about 8 inches as shown in the image.

May I ask: is it ok to shoot the bow with an 8 inch brace?
Is it possible the dealer gave me the wrong length string?

The bow seems to shoot just fine.

Any advice appreciated from the experts. Product Tool Yellow Line Musical instrument

Every wood-riser 62” bow in that class that I’ve owned or shot seems to work best with BH at between 8 and 8 1/4”.

i have the same bow in 35#
mine is closer to 8.25" , youre good.

a good string is a must though (imo) as most stock strings are crap.

stilldub on ebay makes great strings,
any colors you want,
and shipped to your door for less than 10 bucks.

you would order a string for a 62" amo bow.
the string maker will make it the correct length.

ive bought lots of strings,
and only twice have i ordered by actual string length (both times were for vintage herters bows)
