As you can see I am new to this board and fairly new to archery. I currently shoot a Mathews Legacy and have been wanting to get a second bow. My question is does a shorter brace height make the bow more prone to forearm contact (arm slap)?
Brace highth is more about forgiveness than arm slap. The higher the brace highth the more forgiving the bow will be for minor form flaws. Most arm slap is due to trying to shoot a draw lenght that is too long.
I have two bows one has a 6-1/4" riser hight and the other 7-1/4" and I very seldom (can't remember the last time) get slapped on the arm.
