The brace height is only 7 1/8" so you're not far off. Also, since it's just an approximate measurement, it doesn't really matter. You can check and see that you're hitting the max draw weight and if you are, you don't really have a problem. If your draw weight is low, twisting the buss cable will increase the draw weight and the brace height.
