957 3
Rain or shine, Orion Archery of Blair, Nebraska will be hosting the"Brandon Tomcak Memorial Kids 3D Shoot" on Sunday, June 2nd at the Lake Cunningham outdoor archery range on the north edge of Omaha. Known as "Golden Arrows outdoor range"

Dedicated to Brandon’s memory, our shoot is geared for kids where adults can have fun too. There will be a (20) animal 3D course and novelty shoots for kids as well as adults. Lots & lots of raffle and door prizes. The big raffle prizes include: a choice of an adult Bow, or $500 cash, and an additional raffle for a top of the line kid’s bow. For door prizes, we have a variety of gift certificates and coupons from local sporting goods stores, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Burger King, Godfathers Pizza, and many more. This year we are awarding (4) $500 scholarships and we will be sending (8) kids to the “Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids”. As one of the kid's favorites, we offer a series of "novelty shots" for a chance to win tons of prizes.

Along with members of the Orion Archery Club of Blair, Nebraska, the “Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids” organization will be offering guidance and equipment for those who have none and just want to try their luck.

Everyone will walk away a winner with great fun for the whole family. All kids, shooting as future BowHunter or Cubs, will receive medals while plaques will be awarded to winners in the older youth categories. Awards for adult shooters will be the extreme satisfaction of contributing to a good cause.............the future of archery ........Kids

The cost for the (20) animal 3D course and registration for door prizes is still only:
" A Suggested Donation of $5.00 per Shooter". Now that is a real bargain.

Concessions will also be available on site.

With record numbers in last years turn-out...get there early.
And our page on facebook under Orion Archery Club

Super turnout at the Kid's 3D shoot. Unofficially at 275 registered shooters!
Thanks to all of you that helped and those that attended.
Weather could not have been any better.

This is a copy of a letter from Cindy Tomcak (BrandonTomcak"s mother)...........

Orion Archery has proudly demonstrated and held firm to their mission, “It’s all about the kids”! Eight
years ago one of their own archery club kids, Brandon Tomcak, was killed in an auto accident. In
collaboration with the Tomcak Family the Brandon Tomcak Memorial 3-D Shoot was created to
introduce the love of the sport to other children as Orion Archery had done for Brandon.
The results have been outstanding! We have achieved our mission and continue to demonstrate it each
year with the support of the archery community and many major sponsors. This event has opened the
eyes of many to see that our children are the future of archery which has resulted in other archery clubs
getting involved. We have also seen the expansion of the event to now include the Boys and Girl Scouts
in the surrounding area as well as other clubs duplicating this event. All funds raised from this event
have been reinvested back into the archery community.
Each year children ranging from 3 to 73 come to this event which is geared for the inexperienced
shooter. Entire families arrive with the interest and passion of archery yet not knowing a thing. We
provide guided instruction through the course as well as all the archery equipment needed. We have
bows, arrows and quivers available for the smallest shooter all the way up to largest and in all colors,
including pink! They are guided through the 20 animal courses and educated on the sport. Upon
completion each child receives a medal for participating and we always hear them say,
“ Dad, I want my own bow and arrow, can we go and buy one today?”
Over eight years the Brandon Tomcak Memorial 3-D Shoot in collaboration with Orion Archery has,
• Introduced 1355 (+) shooters to archery
• Raised over $39,000
• Provided over $20,000 in College Scholarship funds to High School graduates
• Supported the Ted Nugent Kamp for Kids with donations and sent over 70 children to the Kamp
• Most importantly they continue to focus on the mission, “It’s All About The Kids”.
Thank you for your continued support!
