I have been shooting a bow for target and 3D for many years, but am looking to step into the hunting arena.

My club has dedicated broadhead targets.

My question is: how do you remove the broad heads from the target? Doesn't seem to me that they would back out "nicely."

I did a search and could not find a relevant thread and don't ever recall seeing something about this here.

I find my fixed blade broadheads pull out of my Rinehart foam target easier than field points. I don't recommend shooting mechanicals at a foam target though.

They pull out fairly easily. If you're shooting fixed heads that have the back edge sharpened, they pull out real easy. If they pass through, I take the head off, pull the shaft and re-assemble. I wouldn't shoot large cut fixed heads at a broadhead target. They end up taking huge chunks out of the target and drastically shorten the life of the target.
