A week ago Sat. I was in a farm accident. Lucky I didn't crack any ribs. But they told me in the emergency room that I have serverly bruised ribs and cracked cartilage. Has anyone recovered from bruised ribs and how long did it take. They told me 4-5 weeks. Others have told me 6-8. They hurt like a [email protected]*#. Just was wondering, with hunting around the corner. Only had 2 weeks of summer league to go. Really ticks me off.

4-5 wks sounds about right. Cracked mine so much growing up quit going to doctor for it. Get well before season or just bite the bullet and hunt anyway.

I broke 2 ribs once and man that sucked. Took 2 months to heal.
Good luck, not much you can do for em except lotsa ibuprofen.

That stuff really hurts. I fell out of a tree stand a few years back, and I cracked my sternum and bruised a few ribs. I think the ribs took about 6 weeks to recover, but the sternum still hurts.

sucks...glad it wasn't worse.....I agree with above statement...it took me about two months to recover also.
