I practice on a rope made to fit my exact draw length and I draw my bow using my thumb around the post.
I have that exact release and it feels the best in my hand of all my handhelds. If you have big fingers you might have to learn to keep your middle finger from getting in the way of the head. I cannot feel the head move through it's range of travel either, which on some BT's I could and I hate that.
