Built box blinds for bow hunting

I hunted out of some banks blinds in December and January of last year. Hight temps of 10, lows were -10 at times. I found elevated blind hunting to be one of the hardest things i've done. your visibility is limited, most times something steps out it's now or never. I had a hard go of it. I never killed a deer till I hunt a stand and braved the cold. Those banks blinds seem to be sound proof, but sound proof to you too. I couldn't hear deer coming out of the woods in crunchy snow, it was tough.

I'd say the vertical windows seemed like the windows i would have had my best opportunity out of. you aren't shooting a compound at a deer at 12 yards in a high square window. That was another thing, deer got too close. Proper planning on location i'd say is key as well. I'd say my buddies property is not setup that well
