I'm thinking of getting this rangefinder. Only need it for bow hunting and 3D. Anyone have any advice/reviews?

I have done a search and from what I read - mostly positive - good rangefinder for the $.

Thanks!

Ok if you're hunting whitetails from a treestand. I've had some issues on a couple of spot and stalk hunts with brush and getting a good range but have since upgraded however, I still keep it as a backup. I've used it for around 3yrs now and it still works.

My dad has one and really likes it. His only issue with it is it not being waterproof. Last season he was out in some rain and it got moisture inside of the lenses. At first Bushnell wouldn't do anything about it since they said it was only water resistant with their rain guard but after talking with someone else they decided since it was still under warranty to replace it. It is very accurate and small and light weight which is a great aspect of it.

I have the Chuck Adams with ARC RF....It's Water Proof....

It's solid. I had one for several years and then I put a coffee mug in my backpack without closing the lid and it was ruined. I have another Bushnell now. It's the scout 1000. It's better, but also more $$

It's a low end RF.
I have one, not thrilled because it sucks at longer ranges.
It's good to 80 which is all I shoot.

The price is right.
There are fewer and fewer of us who can afford toys like we could in the 70's.

Like you Griz, I despise the low information bunch called Democrats.

i had one a did not like it. did not work at all in shaded woods, or on black 3d targets. the arc never seemed to be needed. went back to nikon 440 and very happy.

I must have gotten the only good one then..seems like they don't work on 3-d targets or dark areas, they work great on live bears as well for myself..,i have never had any issues.I am lucky that way......Knock on wood....:)...Grizz

I also picked up a tasco rangefinder on sale for dirt cheap and it works as good as a buddies $500.00 rangefinder.Exactly the same reading at the same distances...Knock on wood....Grizz

I have one and it works fine for me. The backstop at our range is black and I used my range finder to range it yesterday. It worked just fine.
