This is news to me. Just went to www.bowhunterswarehouse.com and got this response. Interesting. Is this new or am i behind the times?

Dear Bowhunter,
Thank you for visiting the Bowhunter's Discount Warehouse online store. Recently, we made the decision to sell our web site. Naturally, we wanted to ensure that our customers would still be treated with the best service possible. With that in mind, we are pleased to tell you that the new owner of our site is one of the most trusted names in outdoor sports - Cabela's.

If you know the folks at Cabela's already, you know you are in good hands. If you haven't shopped Cabela's before, click one of the links below and take a look around.

Cabela's has been providing its customers with quality, value, and a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee for 40 years now. They offer one of the most complete archery selections on the Web - or anywhere. And their Product Specialists are avid outdoorsmen like you, so you'll always find expert answers from fellow hunters who understand what you need to succeed.

Of course, they also have everything you need for fishing, black powder, camping, shooting, hiking, truck accessories and more.

We at Bowhunter's Discount Warehouse want to thank you for your business and hope you enjoy shopping Cabela's online store.

Please Note: Bowhunter's Discount Warehouse no longer has employees servicing customers. Because Cabela's does not have access to any information regarding previous business with Bowhunter's Discount Warehouse, including customer order information, Cabela's is unable to assist Bowhunter's Discount Warehouse customers with previous or pending orders.

How come no online retailers carry Bowtech other then the Diamonds and no Hoyt at all? It just confuses me because thse are two really big names in archery.

The reason for no BowTech or Hoyt is they want their dealers to get the business and that way they provide them with customers having to come to a dealer but they have also that dealers can't be so close together so they also give them a territory which again provides them a customer base...

As for BowHunters Discount Warehouse, they are in the same location just a different name might have had a deal that they could not reopen for x number of years and now that time period is over with. If you use the Sponors here at AT you will see the Bowhunters SuperStore if you click on that link you will get the same as someone that posted a link to them...

Behind the times? I think you must have been in in coma or living in a cave! BDW has been gone for several years, and it was thoroughly discussed on the archery web sites when it happened.

In a nutshell, Bowhunters Discount Warehouse went bankrupt and sold most inventory on public auction. Cabelas bought the rights to their website, and used it to redirect former customers to Cabelas.com. More recently, some members of the original family who owned Bowhunters Discount Warehouse reaquired the real estate and opened a new business called Bowhunters Superstore. It is modeled on the orginal Bowhunters Discount Warehouse.

I recently bought a new bow from them. They are top notch in my book. I recently received a telephone call from an employee there. It seems that another member of my archery club bought a bow from them and they over charged him $20. He remembered that he mentioned my name and they were trying to get in contact with him to let him know that they over charged him.
