posted this in the mafia section as well as the strings and arrows section, just trying to get a fair amount of advice before I proceed.

"On my stock AX cables it has that clear 1400x material.

Its getting shredded and my cam servings aren't holding up the greatest, but better than I could have expected with a stock string and cable set.

Now to my question,

I got a new set in the making, actually almost finished, but before I throw them on my bow I want to get some advice from you guys.

I don't have my cables served for the roller guard, I don't have clear halo, and I don't have 1400x material to use. Last but most important to me, I don't wanna cover the majority of my exposed string material on my cables with serving. I wanna show off my colors.

So, would it be ok to just throw the cables on with no serving for the roller guard? or would that be just asking for disaster?"

They are served for a reason, I would serve them.

you just stated that your roller guard serving is getting shredded, think about what will happen to your new string.
