Need some help guys... Hey all, so I’ve seen some good posts on here about replacing the cable rod. I have a bow tech diamond (2013 I believe) no serial number so not sure. welp, my cable rod fell out in the woods one day. Have had trouble finding an oem replacement. I’ve bought a couple pieces of material that I thought would work, since I’ve seen others on here use but they bend and don’t keep my strings in the right place. So, I’m thinking of using a 3/8” piece of 6160 aluminum, chrome plated... any feedback on if this would be appreciated! I am also a machinist (manual) and work in a large machine shop, so I’m open to suggestions if there is something better I can make.
I didn’t get any hits on this so I went ahead and got the aluminum chrome plated rod... I think it will be perfect.... BUT apparently my husband lost my actual slide... so do I need OEM or can someone point me in the right direction to buy another one? Thanks and hope all of you in Texas have gotten out in the woods and seen or got some good deer!

You do not need an OEM one. Any aftermarket slide will work fine.

The Infinite Edge comes stock with a straight carbon rod (not sure if it's hollow or solid), which has been one of my complaints on that particular bow. However, if you were to put an offset or bend in a cable guard, you can turn it to provide better cable clearance on your fletchings/vanes, and it's an additional way to fine tune the bow.

This will replace the factory carbon rod. https://dragonplate.com/DragonPlate-Carbon-Rod-375-x-24

Just have to cut it to length. You'll have enough for a couple out of that. Then any aftermarket cable slide will work. Just make sure to keep the set screw in place with some loctite when you put it back in. This is also a good lesson to check over your bow regularly and snug up the screws/bolts on the bow.
