Spray it!

I worry about it. I've seen deer come in an sniff the cam an get jittery when I didn't do anything to it. I started spraying some DDW scent killer on it and wiping the lenz after I checked it. I never see deer checking out anymore. I'm a little anal when it comes to stuff like that but I'd rather be causious than eat tags. Just my opinion.

Lets be clear about what camera you're asking about, are you talking about video cameras or trail cams???????

I use scent wipes to wipe EVERYTHING I touch . Then I don not touch bare handed until the end of the hunt. The camera strap if you use one gets sprayed.. It does make a difference if you hunt on the ground and you want them to come close enough to touch...mhs
