I have a couple extra strings laying around that wont fit anything, could I unserve one end, cut it down and reserve it? Never tried before, just wondering what lies beneath the serving.

Thanks!

Does not make a hole lot of since to do so (if they are old strings) utilizing old worn materials.

But, Technically... Yes? You could unserve BOTH ends. NOT CUT!!! Unraval the strands and start over making the string.

Too cut the end and put it back together... Nope you would be done. Especially if you tried to put that back on a bow.:zip:

It could be done. But, I would not suggest it!

So it is twisted together under the serving? These are some new strings that I haven't used. Just wondering. Pics would be helpful.

Thanks for the replies!
