I bought a set here on AT no weights on it and I went to tighten the Allen screw down tight, and it fell down into the tube :-( anyway can I take the end cap off the stabilizer? If so how??

Your best bet is call B-Stinger and check with them, you would be far better off. Good Luck.

PM'd BigGP about this some time ago as I wanted to cut down a rod, never got around to trying it but his reply was...

"you can heat up the end cap very carefully and cut what you want off and hot melt or epoxy it back on"

Use some heat. If a little heat, twisting, and pulling won't work, you can as a last resort (or first resort if you want to shorten it anyway) take an arrow saw and cut it off, really heat the end cap to break the seal, remove the stub and epoxy it back on the shortened main shaft.
