I shoot Gold tips and when I shoot into my deer target the arrows are very hard to remove. When I do get them out they have some ot the target material on them. I believe it is from the speed and the heat generated by the friction. I then have a heck of a time scraping the stuff off.
Do all carbon shafts doe this or just the gold tips and is there something I can put on the arrows for easier removal and no build-up? When I shot aluminum, I used to was my shafts for easy removal.

also if you dont have one get an arrow puller... even with lube sometimes you need a little extra grip on that little sucker to get him to move...

Carbon Express makes an arrow lube. Woody's is another brand. Both are available through Lancaster. An application on the first 2-3 inches works great. After a few times you won't need to apply so often. Pulls much easier from fiberboard butts and foam.

Ivory soap (bar) and a BERRY arrow puller

Those Gold Tips are the hardest arrows to get out of a target I have ever seen. Don't twist them either.

The Ivory soap thing does work good...and if you do get some of the target material sticking to your shaft just scrape it off with a t-square or something. Something that is dull so you don't accidently cut in the carbon...

All you need is a 35mm film container, cut a piece of foam to go inside, make a hole in the lid for the arrow and borrow some kids bubbles. :D Works great and is cheap. You can even add a cork to the lid when not in use.

Don't get the foam too wet, that makes a mess you really don't want to be making bubbles at a 3D shoot  :D, pour a little in and then pour the excess back into the bottle.
