I am looking for a new release for target shooting and narrowed the selection to a Carter Target 4 or the Tru Ball Absolute 360. I want a 4 finger release with a longer length latch arm. Does anyone have experience with both releases that can share your thoughts between the two?
Thanks and God bless

They're both really great releases. The Truball has the swivel head on it that can be locked in place to reduce string torque.

The finger beds are about the same. Wide and flat for the most part.

The target 4 is an original Carter release so if you get one, get a newer one they've made with the i.t.s. system. It's an interchangeable spring kit to help adjust tension needed on the button to trip the release.

I believe the Truball is a little narrower than the Carter between your index and middle fingers. On the neck of the release. This can help you have a more positive anchor position.

The Truball has a good adjustable thumb trigger for placement of where the button can go on your thumb.

I have the incredible and the absolute 360 and I would suggest getting a incredible, I like the reset button much better and it also has interchangeable handles to make it into a three finger or four finger or four finger swept back.

Both the incredible and the absolute have a head that can be turned to eliminate d-loop torque which is a sweet thing also.

Cool thing is you can get either the carter or truball and be good to go, they are both awesome so pick the one that your gut feeling leads you to.

I was at the range last night trying out my buddy's carter and it was sweet but then he pulled out a Tru ball sweet spot BT release. I never tried s BT but it has a safety button for drawing and after shooting it I am hooked! I ordered one and it will be here this week. Thanks folks for all the help!
