As the tail part of my honeymoon later this year we plan to do some hog hunting in Tennessee. I have hunted hogs all over a few countries and love spot and stalking them. I know this won't be the same as free range, huge expanses to hunt in but I want to get my new wife some experience stalking with a bow before we tackle some tougher stalks in Africa and out west. I looked at both Spartan hunting preserve and the Wilderness Hunting lodge but these two seem like small enclosures and walk right up to the hogs type places. I found Caryonah hunting lodge while looking and they claim to be one of the oldest in the nation, and more importantly it seems like a place where you could get a chance at some challenging stalks in larger areas without it feeling like you walked into a barn.
Anyone ever been to Caryonah and have any reviews of the place. Looking for a place a new bowhunter can stalk hogs, has a nice lodge with some pretty terrain to stalk in and is in central/eastern Tennessee?
I know there are several places all over the country but trying to combine this hunt with a honeymoon to Memphis and Nashville.
