I would guess your using a nocking loop.
Put an eliminater button or a tied in nock set inside the loop with the arrow nock above nock set and the 2 notts on the outside.
Other option tie both nocking loop notts below the nock and use a fixed nock set above your arrow nock.
Both set ups will give you the downward force on the arrow you are looking for.

thanks i will try that. I am shooting a D-loop with one nock set in the d-loop but it is above the arrow.

These guys are right on for what you described. However, if the arrow is erratically jumping up above, or falling off the rest, then you may be drawing too much weight.

No it's not jumping around. it just lifts off the rest when drawing. It settles at full draw. But of course in a hunting situation i don't want to have to worry about the arrow settling.
