Close encounters of the elk kind...

I hunted for many days in SE Idaho, and never had any experiences like this. All it takes is a limited entry area, and my elk calls work wonders. Here's what I did last night. At least 6 bulls screaming at me to 'get over here'. Had 2 within 10 yards, including this one.

Awesome!! So were you hunting or just out calling?? Did you ever see any of the other bulls? Sounded like another one was moving in.

Man - thats where you need a partner cow calling 100 yards behind you!

Cool video - I'm looking at getting a V.I.O. POV Camera next year.

Not hunting, unfortunately. In Utah for some reason the hunt ends a few weeks ago. I was just out scouting for what will hopefully be next year. And yeah, there were bulls all around me. Theres another clip on there, part 2, of another one that gets even closer, but he was in the trees. Had to have been 7 or 8 bulls within 1/4 mile of me.

What brand? I have tried so many of them but I just can't get it  Always too much "ththth" Just curious.

Cool second video too
I just use the primos ones. I hate the ones with the dome, but the other ones work great. I have the best luck with the red and black ones. They work awesome for bugling as well. I take off the stupid mouth piece on most bugles and just use the tube, and one of these diaphragms, and it works awesome.
