Has anyone had hands on these or shot them? The 100 grain model has .056" thick blades and the 125 grain model has .070" thick blades, both of which are impressive specs for a mechanical. I see it says "bolt" so I'm not sure if they're designed for compound shooters or not...I imagine they would be just fine with heavy enough setups unless they have a super stiff retention system.

They focused their broadheads for the broadhead community. The thickest blade in a Mechanical. Finally a mech head that might be reusable. The crossbow guys can get away with the over the top energy loss of deployment since their bolts have high momentum. I think the crossbow guys will like that a lot more than a rage head.

They look like a stout broadhead I didn't think cobra would ever make a broadhead. I wonder where they are made?

I have handled the 100 grain version. Stout blades. Pretty sharp. Very tight blade retention. I would be worried about quick deployment out of a vertical bow. I believe the retention system is ready for the newest ultra fast crossbows coming out. To avoid early deployment. Would love to see Lusk test them though.

Gene:

The broadheads will not need an adjustment and will work with a vertical/compound bow. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Thank you and have a great day,

Gene94, How sharp are the blades ?
Not shaving sharp, I will definitely touch them up before hunting. It will be time well spent though because the blades are insanely thick!! Definitely can see one broadhead taking many, many animals before failing. Built like tanks!

I’ve got a Sevr i hope to test out this year, it’ll be my first time using a mech, but these are really peaking my interest, especially with the thick blades on them. How was the durability on the one you used? Still good to go through another deer?

makes you wonder why this head hasn't existed for awhile.... that's impressive. i might be killing a bull with a mechanical next year, that's confidence inspiring, and they make 150gr, which i like. i will be shooting 200gr heads next year, and 150's with a 50gr screw in insert weight... i was going to shoot valkyrie blood eagles mostly, but also have a couple 150gr kudu+, and a sevr robusto.... with this head i may pack 2 blood eagles, 2 of these in 150gr, and a judo arrow (carry a spare head in a small case that i can put on my judo arrow if SHTF)

from what i see, i would have no hesitation sending one of those through a roosie

I really like the looks of this head. Weird that they came out with a crossbow head before a vertical bow head. To each their own.

Similar to a Sevr, but it’s over the top instead of rear deploy. And the blades don’t pivot!

I have a fairly high energy setup (30” draw, 73” Hoyt 515 grain arrow) might grab some 125s to rip through some deer. 1-3/4” cut is just about perfect IMO.

Edit: 100 and 125 grain is 1-1/2”, the 150 is 1-3/4”
