From the dealer over $ just for the limbs. Used, $100 if you are lucky. Shop will charge you @ $75 to put them on. I recommend you buy a press, doesn't take too many uses to pay for a press!
Labor cost is going to vary by shop. Then there is the tuning issue, setup issue, etc. A limb change is NOT the first thing you should attempt when you get a press.
I saw those Flatwoodshunter, wasn't sure if they are the correct limbs or not. Gonna call Bear tomorrow try to find out. If those are right I'll order them.
if it only costs you $80 for the limbs consider yourself lucky, I put a deep scratch in one of my ritual limbs by hanging it on a hook that had a sharp spot on it . cost me $150 and I installed them myself.
I get that, but a new press is definitely not in the budget at the moment. I have a Bow master press that I use for light mechanical duties but would rather a more substantial press be used to swap out limbs.
I found a set of limbs for $50. I stopped into a local shop today. They quoted me a cost of $30 to swap limbs and another $30 to completely retune the bow afterwards. I was not expecting to get off so easily!
Did you get your bear Alaskan XT yet? I ordered mine on October 29 2023, and my dealer is telling me that there may be issues with production and they are shipping out late hopefully sometime in mid to late February.
