Couple days left till spot and stalk Cape Buffalo

Only a couple of days left until I leave to hunt Cape Buffalo on the Botswana boarder. Also going to try for Kudu, Eland, Impala and warthog if I can find any larger than those I have already taken.
Been blessed to have been to Africa a couple times before but it was always South Africa and only for plains game. This time it is spot and stalk for Buffalo as my primary target and getting pretty pumped. I am pushing a 744 grain arrow out mid 260’s and using the Tuffhead Evolution 2.0 with the bloodring for buff and the brand new Evolution wides for the other game. It has been long enough that I almost have forgotten the mystique of Africa and am re-reading all the Capstick and Boddington I can. The quote, “The only man I am jealous of is the man seeing Africa for the first time”, keeps ringing in my ear. Life has changed a TON since my first trip over and now-a-days it is easy for me to get caught up in work, future planning, day to day kids activities, and a host of other distractions. Africa has a way more than any other place on the planet to narrow that focus and center yourself as a hunter. Being an adult means you can’t allow yourself that tunnel vision for too long but you can soak it in while it lasts.

Beat of luck to you!
good luck Adam!
Good luck and have a safe trip.
Looking forward to your return story and pictures.
I know you’ve been preparing for this for some time now. Has to be exciting to have it right around the corner. I hope you have a great hunt and can’t wait to hear about it on the backside and to see pics of some incredible animals!
Good luck and post up pictures and story
With the help of my buddy's tuning ability we were able to get those new Tuffheads to hit with fieldpoints out past 50 pretty easy. I am sure they would hit right with them out past 70 but with nearly 750 grains total arrow weight my trajectory is dropping quick.
Best of luck. My wife and I have been to South Africa three times for plains game. The concession we use is only about 12 miles from Botswana. In addition, we also go take time to go on a sightseeing tour.…..we’ve been to Botswana, Victoria Falls, Kruger Park to name a few.

Good luck… on my bucket list to hunt there. I’ve been reading Robert Ruark books my entire life… good luck!

Ruark is good but it was Capstick that locked me into going to Africa and Boddington expanded my knowledge on Ballistics before I was so into archery.
Good luck, safe travels
Best of luck for this amazing hunt! Cannot wait for the pic and the report!
Going as well early September for a Cape buffalo with my bow on walk and stalk in Zim!
It sounds like the hunt has already been a success with your experience. Good luck and looking forward to some success stories and pictures.
Good luck and send game and scenery pics!

Now reading Capstick's book, Death in the Long Grass. Great book and describes each animal with good and bad experiences. I believe it was Robert Ruark who said that Cape buffalo "look at you like you owe them money."
